Worship & Connections Pastor
About The Position
The Worship & Connections Pastor helps foster a Christ-centered Sunday morning environment where people are welcomed, connected, discipled, and led into worship of Jesus Christ. The role provides leadership for worship ministries, volunteer teams, and guest connections while helping cultivate a healthy, authentic, and gospel-centered church culture. The pastor contributes to a healthy, creative, and Spirit-led pastoral staff and works collaboratively with the Lead Pastor, elders, and staff in support of Paradise Alliance Church’s vision and direction. The position emphasizes worship, discipleship, teamwork, authenticity, and shepherding people toward deeper faith in Christ. It may require licensing with The Christian & Missionary Alliance.
Requirements
- Clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ and ongoing spiritual maturity.
- Ability to clearly identify the gifting of the Holy Spirit toward ministry leadership.
- Consistent adherence to the biblical qualifications for church leadership outlined in 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1.
- Bachelor of Arts degree and/or other equivalent training and education.
- Willingness and ability to work toward licensing and ordination with The Christian & Missionary Alliance denomination.
- Humble, teachable, relational, and emotionally healthy leadership approach.
- Passion for building teams that serve with authenticity and excellence.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to a healthy, creative, and Spirit-led pastoral staff.
- Collaborate with the Lead Pastor, elders, and staff while supporting the vision and direction of Paradise Alliance Church.
- Lead the church in Christ-centered worship aligned with the church’s teaching and mission.
- Recruit, equip, and delegate volunteer teams in worship, production, hospitality, and guest connections using an encouraging, servant-hearted leadership style.
- Understand the community’s culture and develop effective ways to reach people with the Gospel of Christ and encourage spiritual growth.
- Provide oversight and development for worship and production ministries, including music, audio, visual, livestream, and service coordination teams.
- Plan holiday services and special events with the pastoral staff.
- Help shape a welcoming, Christ-centered Sunday morning culture across environments from the parking lot to the auditorium, using trained, servant-hearted volunteer teams.
- Oversee or support hospitality, greeters, the lobby environment, worship service coordination, and helping attenders connect with the church’s life and ministries.
- Perform other duties as assigned in response to the needs of the church and community.
