About The Position

Fondomonte Arizona is seeking an experienced and hands-on Workshop Manager to oversee maintenance operations supporting a large-scale agricultural operation in Vicksburg, Arizona. This role is responsible for managing the maintenance and repair of agricultural equipment, heavy machinery, diesel trucks, trailers, loaders, forklifts, and support equipment critical to farming, harvesting, transportation, and bale press operations. The Workshop Manager reporting to the Maintenance Manager will lead workshop personnel, coordinate preventive maintenance programs, manage repairs, and ensure equipment reliability to support efficient agricultural operations.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in agricultural, diesel, or heavy equipment maintenance management.
  • Strong working knowledge of agricultural equipment and diesel repair operations.
  • Experience leading maintenance teams in a fast-paced operational environment.
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills involving hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems.
  • Ability to manage priorities during peak agricultural and harvest seasons.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Computer proficiency for maintenance tracking and reporting.
  • Valid driver’s license required

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily workshop operations and maintenance activities for agricultural and heavy equipment.
  • Manage the repair and maintenance of tractors, swathers, balers, loaders, forklifts, semi-trucks, trailers, and support equipment.
  • Supervise mechanics and workshop personnel, including scheduling, training, and performance management.
  • Coordinate preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and maximize equipment availability.
  • Troubleshoot and assist with complex diesel, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical repairs.
  • Maintain maintenance records, repair schedules, inventory, and parts control.
  • Coordinate with operations management to prioritize repairs and support harvest and production schedules.
  • Ensure compliance with company safety standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor workshop cleanliness, organization, and safe work practices.
  • Manage vendor relationships, outside repairs, and equipment service providers.
  • Assist with maintenance budgeting, cost control, and long-term equipment planning.
