About The Position
This course, ENG1100 AA00, is an intensive practice in academic essay writing for the Fall 2026 semester. The emphasis will be on grammatical and well-reasoned expository writing, essay organization, preparation of research papers, and proper acknowledgment of sources. Students will engage in frequent written exercises and develop their composition skills. The use of Writing Centre resources is required outside of regular class hours. This posting is limited to Regular Part-Time Professors.
Requirements
- Ph.D (English)
- An acceptable level of education and/or experience could be viewed as being equivalent to the educational required and/or demonstrated experience.
- Employees are required under provincial law to successfully complete all mandatory legislated training.
- All qualified candidates are encouraged to apply; however, Canadians and permanent residents will be given priority.
Nice To Haves
- Research expertise and publications in this area strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Teach ENG1100 AA00, focusing on academic essay writing, expository writing, essay organization, research paper preparation, and source acknowledgment.
- Assign and grade frequent written exercises.

- Require and guide students in the use of Writing Centre resources outside of regular class hours.
