About The Position

This position is for a Regular Part-Time Professor to teach ENG1100 EH00, Workshop in Essay Writing, during the Fall 2026 semester at the University of Ottawa's Main Campus. The course focuses on intensive practice in academic essay writing, emphasizing grammatical and well-reasoned expository writing, essay organization, preparation of research papers, and proper acknowledgment of sources. It involves frequent written exercises, development of composition skills, and requires the use of Writing Centre resources outside of regular class hours. The language of instruction is English.

Requirements

• Ph.D (English)
• An acceptable level of education and/or experience could be viewed as being equivalent to the educational required and/or demonstrated experience.
• Successfully complete all mandatory legislated training as required by provincial law.
• All qualified candidates are encouraged to apply; however, Canadians and permanent residents will be given priority.
