About The Position

Groundcover is redefining cloud-native observability with eBPF, delivering full-stack monitoring for Kubernetes environments at a dramatically lower cost and complexity. The Boston office serves as the commercial engine, housing sales, solutions, and GTM teams. This role is crucial for making the office function smoothly, allowing the 60+ sellers and marketing professionals to focus on their daily tasks. The position involves managing the physical space, vendor relationships, cultural initiatives, and the systems that ensure operations run efficiently. This is an opportunity for someone who wants to build, improve, and take pride in the details, with the potential to grow the operations function, define work processes, and shape the culture of a rapidly scaling Series B company.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in office management, workplace operations, or a similar role, preferably at a fast-growing startup or tech company.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive with ownership and ambiguity, taking initiative without explicit direction.
  • Strong vendor management and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build trust across the organization.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to shifting priorities.
  • Full-time, in-office role requiring presence and ownership of the physical office space.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily operations across facilities, supplies, vendor relationships, and building management.
  • Identify and resolve operational issues proactively.
  • Oversee the lease relationship and negotiate with service providers.
  • Manage the employee experience, including onboarding logistics, team lunches, offsites, and daily office rhythms.
  • Coordinate with People and IT departments for seamless new-hire arrivals and departures.
  • Own and manage the office budget, track spending, and make informed financial decisions.
  • Manage vendor contracts for services such as cleaning, security, catering, and equipment.
  • Ensure the office meets health and safety standards.
  • Serve as the point of contact for building security, fire safety, and emergency protocols.
  • Partner with the VP of Sales, Head of People, and Finance team to align office operations with company growth and initiatives.
  • Organize and support office culture moments, including all-hands meetings, team celebrations, and guest experiences.
