As our Workforce Intake Assistant, you are the face and voice of our workforce programs. For individuals looking to change their lives through education and better employment, you are their very first impression. You will provide the encouraging, organized, and professional welcome they need to feel confident about their next steps. We view this as a growth position within our organization. We will teach you the ins and outs of workforce development, data tracking, and community impact.

Requirements

  • At least 1+ years of experience in customer service, retail, food service, a call center, or an office setting.
  • Understanding of workplace professional norms.
  • Outstanding communication skills (in person, on the phone, and over email).
  • Enjoy helping others succeed.
  • Comfortable with Gmail, MS Office, and Google Drive.
  • Ability to type at least 40 words per minute.
  • Ability to handle interruptions, switch gears quickly, and keep yourself organized.
  • Desire to be coached, developed, and given more responsibility over time.
  • A High School Diploma, an Associate’s or a Bachelor’s degree, or military experience.
  • A reliable personal vehicle for occasional daytime errands.
  • Flexibility for occasional evening/weekend hours with advanced notice.

Responsibilities

  • Greet a diverse group of applicants, visitors, and customers in person, making them feel supported from the moment they walk in.
  • Reach out to prospective customers via phone, text, and email to share program details, answer questions, and get them excited to start.
  • Use Salesforce and online tools to schedule applicants for orientations and interviews.
  • Help applicants complete their intake paperwork and administer basic computer and hands-on assessments.
  • Deliver weekly, small-group program orientations to walk applicants through what we do.
  • Maintain daily applicant records in Google Sheets, organize digital documents, and collaborate with the team on how to make our processes even better.
