About The Position

JEVS is hiring a full-time Workforce Advisor for the Suburban Station CareerLink. The role provides no-cost services to help individuals enter or re-enter the local workforce. The position is based on-site at JEVS’s Suburban Station office and is scheduled for 35 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Network and establish working relationships with personnel at County Assistance Offices, community agencies, mental health and drug and alcohol organizations, and other agencies as needed.
• Provide case management to an assigned caseload; complete case notes and follow-up services related to employment, retention, and termination; and recommend, promote, and schedule Center services for customers.
• Work with the Integrated Job Development Team and its job developers to transition customers to appropriate employment.
• Assist Center customers with welcome, skills, and employment functions; assess computer proficiency and assist with JobGateway registration.
• Advise customers on job finding and skill development to help them become more competitive in the job market.
• Develop a customized job search plan for each assigned job seeker.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
