About The Position

The mission of the United States Air Force (AF) is to fly, fight, and win in air, space, and cyberspace domains. Cherokee Federal aims to effectively optimize resource allocation and Civil Engineering (CE) programs while modernizing and recapitalizing installation infrastructure, protecting installation from mission degradation, and executing sustainment programs. The successful candidate will assist Air Force Civil Engineer front office staff, maintain leadership’s schedules, collect, consolidate, and track executive correspondence; manage conference room schedules and execute front office support administrative tasks.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree
  • 3+ years of experience leading office admin teams
  • Knowledge of CE mission areas
  • Higher headquarters level staff experience (MAJCOM (or equivalent) or above) highly desired
  • Experience within the Air Force or DoD (former military or DOD civilian is desired)
  • Secret clearance
  • Experience with Task Management Tool (TMT)
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • Ability to comfortably interact with senior level government and contractor personnel on a daily basis
  • Exceptional soft skills to provide direct engagement with senior military and civilian position daily
  • Excellent organizational and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
  • Requires a Common Access Card (CAC) or the ability to obtain one through a federal investigation.
  • Past applicable job experience may include, but is not limited to: Administrative management, Operations support, Document management
  • Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal

Responsibilities

  • Provide detailed updates to leadership and stakeholders by participating in meetings/forums and coordinating, consolidating, developing and delivering/presenting associated meeting materials (e.g. slides, after action reports, minutes).
  • Organize, coordinate, prepare materials, set agenda and direct weekly meetings with Division Chiefs and weekly Directorate Staff meetings where current tasks, deadlines, task details/requirements, and assignment are briefed.
  • Provide High Level administrative support to AFCEC by providing task/suspense management, coordination and quality assurance and control of task responses and task packages.
  • Analyze data to show current and historical trends, reporting, completion statistics, task status, and breakout by Division, and document aggregate support to senior leadership and Division leads by Division.
  • Assist the AFCEC front office staff, maintain knowledge of AFCEC leadership schedules and collect, consolidate and track executive correspondence.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned
