About The Position
Morgan & Morgan is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its Workers Compensation team in the Pensacola office. The attorney will support other attorneys with a heavy and complex caseload of workers compensation cases, learn the firm’s approach to handling these cases, and work to maximize results for claimants. The role offers access to the firm’s case docket management software, litigation resources, and other resources, as well as the opportunity to work alongside experienced trial attorneys.
Requirements
- Law degree from a fully accredited law school.
- Active membership in good standing with the Florida State Bar Association.
- At least 1 year of workers compensation experience.
- Ability to manage a high volume of cases through the full case lifecycle.
- Excellent client service and communication skills.
- Self-starter driven by long-term career goals.
- Superior writing and oral advocacy skills.
Nice To Haves
- Multiple state bar licenses preferred.
Responsibilities
- Draft and file litigation documents, including pleadings, discovery requests and responses, demands, motions, and memoranda.
- Guide claimants through the case process.
- Interact with expert witnesses, including participating in conferences and drafting expert reports and affidavits.
- Prepare for and attend depositions, mediations, hearings, and appearances.
