About The Position
Hennessy & Roach, P.C. seeks an attorney to defend Workers' Compensation cases in Illinois and Missouri, joining its St. Louis office. The attorney will represent employers and insurers and litigate cases through all phases, manage an individual caseload, draft pleadings, conduct legal research, negotiate settlements, and attend hearings, trials, depositions, oral arguments, mediations, arbitrations, and other proceedings.
Requirements
- J.D.
- License to practice law in Illinois or Missouri.
- Experience defending Workers’ Compensation or general liability claims.
Nice To Haves
- Licensure in both Illinois and Missouri.
Responsibilities
- Litigate Workers' Compensation cases through all phases on behalf of employers and insurers.
- Manage an individual caseload.
- Draft pleadings and conduct legal research as needed.
- Negotiate settlements.
- Attend hearings, trials, depositions, oral arguments, mediations, arbitrations, and other proceedings.
