About The Position

We are seeking an experienced, motivated, and client-focused Workers’ Compensation Attorney to join a rapidly growing team in NYC. This role is suited to an autonomous advocate who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to exceptional legal representation. The attorney independently manages a comprehensive caseload, handles complex New York legal frameworks, and helps mentor support staff.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active Bar admission and good standing with the State of New York.
• Minimum of 3 years of dedicated New York Workers’ Compensation law experience.
• Exceptional oral advocacy, legal writing, negotiation, and case management capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a full workers’ compensation caseload from initial intake through final resolution.
• Represent clients independently at hearings, depositions, conferences, and settlement negotiations.
• Maintain consistent communication with clients, providing clear legal guidance and case updates.
• Direct the intake process and critically assess new legal matters.
• Supervise, mentor, and collaborate with paralegals, legal assistants, and support staff.
• Prepare pleadings, motions, appeals, and other legal documentation.
• Ensure adherence to deadlines, statutory requirements, and New York State Workers’ Compensation Board regulations.
• Collaborate with fellow attorneys and firm staff to develop strategies and maximize client outcomes.
