Workday AMS Manager
About The Position
Accenture’s Advanced Technology Centers (ATCs) support clients’ transformation journeys through technology solutions, industry insights, innovation, and expertise. As a Workday Application Management Services (AMS) Functional Service Manager, you will help HR and Finance leaders define and execute strategy, oversee functional work streams on AMS engagements, and guide clients toward effective use of Workday functionality and best practices. This hybrid role requires three days per week in the office. Hiring locations are Nashville, Tennessee; Dallas, Texas; or Atlanta, Georgia. You will manage onshore and offshore teams, lead client engagements, advise on Workday and industry practices, and coordinate cross-functional work. You will oversee operational support and enhancements from triage or discovery through resolution or deployment, while managing engagement scope, schedule, cost, quality, requirements, and performance. You will also mentor staff, support sales scoping and effort estimates, identify optimization opportunities, and contribute to new methods and assets. Requirements
- Current Workday HCM Partner Certification.
- At least four years of hands-on experience delivering Workday implementations with a certified Workday implementer, including experience managing cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent; the posting specifies a minimum of 12 years of work experience as an alternative. With an associate degree, at least six years of work experience is required.
Nice To Haves
- At least one year of experience implementing Workday in a lead role.
- Active Workday Core HCM certification plus at least one certification in another Workday functional module, such as Recruiting, Advanced Compensation, or Benefits.
- Workday Project Management Certification.
- HR knowledge and HR technology experience with Workday, SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP technologies, preferably cloud-based.
- Demonstrated commitment to and achievement in delivery excellence and client relationship management.
- Demonstrated understanding of cross-functional dependencies and their impact on conversion and integrations.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently and meet deadlines despite conflicting demands.
Responsibilities
- Oversee multiple functional work streams or domains on a Workday AMS engagement, potentially serving as the overall engagement lead.
- Manage onshore and offshore functional teams.
- Lead AMS engagements, drive decisions, and recommend Workday functionality best practices across areas including Core HCM, Benefits, Talent and Performance, Recruiting, Learning, Payroll, Absence, Time Tracking, Security, and Reporting.
- Identify strategies, risks, and options, and recommend approaches and mitigations to meet client and functional requirements.
- Troubleshoot production break-fixes from triage through resolution.
- Implement enhancements and new features from discovery through deployment.
- Lead, mentor, counsel, and manage the performance of project staff.
- Serve as the single point of contact for the client and direct resources to ensure work streams are cohesive and cross-functional impacts are considered and mitigated.
- Advise clients on industry standards and leading practices.
- Demonstrate design options using prototypes.
- Understand and apply Workday and Accenture methodologies.
- Provide client status updates and keep clients informed of overall project status.
- Manage performance, cost, scope, schedule, quality, and appropriate business requirements.
- Assist with sales activities, including project scoping and estimating implementation effort.
- Manage client and stakeholder relationships to achieve project objectives.
- Ensure clients take advantage of Workday best practices.
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and execute optimization projects.
- Support innovation by creating new industry-leading methods and assets.
