About The Position

The Employment Coach provides tailored and individualized job coaching for people with disabilities to support their access, success, and retention in competitive integrated employment positions. The role coaches and trains employees in workplace skills and in learning and performing essential job tasks, while maintaining collaborative relationships with service providers and supporting required case documentation. The position has no direct reports.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Intermediate computer skills, including spreadsheets, word processing, database, and presentation software.
• Ability to communicate effectively through listening, verbal and written communication, and presentation software.
• Ability to apply critical thinking to identify solutions to problems.
• Basic mathematical skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and exercise flexibility.
• Ability to perform the listed physical demands, with or without assistance, for extended periods.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with adults with disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Coach and train individuals in the skills needed to be successful in the workplace.
• Coach and train individuals in learning and performing the essential functions of job tasks.
• Develop and maintain positive, collaborative relationships with service providers and communicate progress toward goals.
• Assist in maintaining case files and related paperwork as required by PRIDE Industries and supporting agencies.
• Perform duties and special projects as assigned.
