Promotes the ACT/OPT program to all staff and students; recruits students to ensure program capacity and provides support services to concurrent enrolled students to ensure all OMS goals and student achievement of certificates and degrees are met. This role involves planning, implementing, and marketing the work-based learning (WBL) program, developing policies that meet DOL requirements, and recruiting, enrolling, and monitoring students in WBL programs. The coordinator also develops WBL handbooks, conducts orientations, and provides training to instructors on workforce trends. Additionally, the position involves monitoring work sites for quality training, coordinating communication of success stories, promoting a home-based WBL program, and ensuring safety compliance with OSHA standards. Documentation of work positions, training records, and student hours are critical, as is coordinating student transportation. The role requires adherence to various guidelines and policies, maintaining good housekeeping, and modeling Career Success Standards. Participation in mandated staff training is mandatory.
