Requirements

  • Recent graduate with a degree/diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline
  • Solid foundational understanding of Warehouse Management Systems and standard warehouse operations (receiving, shipping, scanning)
  • Familiarity with Manufacturing Execution Systems; specific knowledge of Apriso (MES) is highly preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. You must be able to clearly translate technical requirements and issues while collaborating with cross-functional implementation teams
  • Fast learner, highly organized, and comfortable stepping into an active, fast-paced project environment

Responsibilities

  • Execute, test, and finalize core WMS functions, specifically focusing on shipment scanning, shipment creation, and container scanning
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on key WMS Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to ensure the system meets operational targets
  • Act as the primary technical liaison between our internal IT department and the Apriso (MES) implementation team
  • Troubleshoot integration issues and ensure seamless data flow between the WMS and MES environments
  • Document final processes and assist with end-user support as we transition to the live environment
  • Perform all job functions in a safe and healthful manner, abiding by all health, safety and environmental rules and regulations, promoting safety in the workplace
  • Comply with the requirements of CTPAT/PIP
  • Conduct business in an ethical manner in compliance with the Magna Code of Conduct
  • Report all accidents/incidents and unsafe conditions/behavior
  • Adhere to applicable quality systems and IATF-16949 standards
  • Adhere to and promote the Employee Charter and work within the rules, regulations and guidelines of the Plastcoat Employee Handbook
  • Participate in and support Continuous Improvement initiatives
  • Maintain work area in accordance with the principles of 5S and operate daily within these standards
  • Ensure work area is kept neat and organized
  • Perform other duties as required
