About The Position

Lonestar Electric Supply and its subsidiaries are seeking a Wire Room Lead to support a team handling wire orders and related warehouse work. The role involves receiving, verifying, and stocking wire; preparing orders for transport; supporting loading and unloading; maintaining accurate inventory information; and ensuring the wire room remains organized and safe. The Wire Room Lead also provides coaching to wire room associates, supports leadership, and communicates issues and concerns to management. The ideal candidate is dependable, prompt, reliable, engaged, and committed to the company’s “MAKE IT HAPPEN!” approach. The position is performed in warehouse conditions that may not be climate controlled and may involve heat, humidity, moving mechanical parts, and loud noise. The role may require moving objects weighing up to 40 pounds, along with ongoing movement and use of limbs, manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina.

Requirements

3–5 years of experience operating wire and material-handling equipment, including wire cutters, hand trucks, pallet jacks, and forklifts as needed.
Strong reading and communication skills.
Ability to move up to 40 pounds when required.
Ability to work around moving mechanical parts and in warehouse conditions that may include heat, humidity, and loud noise.
Ability to move objects and use abdominal and lower back muscles over time without fatigue.
Good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina.

Responsibilities

Receive, verify, and stock wire used in the electrical industry.
Review orders, pull requested wire from spools, check it for accuracy, and wrap it for transport.
Provide loading and unloading support as needed.
Update databases promptly and provide accurate inventory counts when requested.
Follow processes and procedures as instructed by the Lead or Wire Room Supervisor.
Help maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Follow established safety guidelines and protocols.
Provide excellent customer service to internal and external partners, customers, logistics professionals, vendors, vendor partners, and employees.
Communicate issues and concerns proactively to management.
Coach wire room associates and support leadership.
Perform other tasks as assigned by leadership.
