About The Position

Lonestar Electric Supply and its subsidiaries are seeking a Wire Room Lead to support a team fulfilling wire orders and carrying out packaging, stocking, loading, unloading, and general organization and safety tasks in the warehouse wire room. The ideal candidate is dependable, prompt, reliable, engaged, and committed to the company’s “MAKE IT HAPPEN!” approach. The role also provides coaching to wire room associates and support to leadership. This job description is a general outline of day-to-day duties and may not cover all responsibilities assigned by management.

Requirements

3–5 years of experience operating wire and material-handling equipment, including wire cutters, hand trucks, pallet jacks, and forklifts as needed.
Strong reading and communication skills.
May be required to move up to 40 lbs.
Must be able to move objects and use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue.
Must have the manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina needed for constant movement and use of limbs.

Epicor Eclipse ERP experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Receive, verify, and stock wires used in the electrical industry.
Review orders, pull requested wire from spools, check it for accuracy, and wrap it for transport.
Provide loading and unloading support as needed.
Update databases promptly and provide accurate inventory counts when requested.
Follow processes and procedures as instructed by the Lead or Wire Room Supervisor.
Help maintain a clean and organized working environment.
Follow established safety guidelines and protocols.
Provide excellent customer service to internal and external partners, customers, logistics professionals, vendors, vendor partners, and employees.
Communicate issues and concerns proactively to management.
Coach wire room associates and support leadership.
Perform other tasks as assigned by leadership.
