About The Position

The Wire Cutter operator oversees cutting wire and cable using machines and ensures cuts are accurate. The role measures and bundles wires and cables according to job orders, then works with installation teams to ensure they receive the proper materials for assembly. Duties may also include loading and unloading materials, moving waste or materials to appropriate locations, and verifying that equipment is functioning properly. The position requires physical work in warehouse and plant-level environments and attention to safety, efficiency, cleanliness, and accuracy.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience with wire and warehouse settings.
Comfort working in various plant-level environments.
Self-motivated.
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Physically able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Final candidates must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

Operate wire-cutting machines and ensure the accuracy of cuts.
Measure and bundle wires and cables according to job orders.
Work with installation teams to ensure they receive the proper wires for assembly.
Load and unload materials and move waste or materials to appropriate locations.
Verify that equipment is working properly.
Package products and ensure the accuracy of materials being prepared and delivered.
Maintain a safe, efficient, and clean work environment.
Maintain departmental working relationships to meet performance requirements.
Communicate and collaborate effectively, using negotiation and teamwork skills as needed.
Interpret customer-supplied documentation, such as purchase orders.
Complete assignments, projects, and other related duties as required by management.
Monitor the accuracy of receiving records, including inventory and stock levels.
