We are heading into the fourth season of the Lincoln County Community Shelter and Resource Center and we are searching for a Winter Shelter Program Manager to take the lead in moving the shelter program forward to better serve some of the most vulnerable people in our community. The shelter is currently scheduled to be open November through April. The person in this role will oversee the development and operation of a nightly winter shelter program for unhoused individuals. Work closely with Department Director, other County departments, city officials, tribal representatives, community-based organizations, churches, and community volunteers. Work closely with community groups to recruit and train volunteers, recruit, and train part time staff, identify venues, secure donations for shelter operations, develop policies and procedures for shelter operations, collect and report utilization and related data, and secure continuation funding through grant writing and fund raising. This role is also responsible for coordinating daily operations including meals, shower services, cleaning and laundry services, clerical duties, data collection and entry, assisting clients with navigation to resources, and other special projects as needed. Working with a diverse population with a high level of complexity. Exercising considerable professional judgement in the care of clients within established standards and limits of professional responsibility.
