About The Position

The Wine Merchandiser ensures the wine shop is properly checked in, shelves are stocked, engaging displays are built, and customers can get help on the sales floor. The role answers questions about wine shop products, helps customers locate items, and provides basic wine-pairing assistance. This is an entry-level seasonal hourly position, with an estimated pay range of $18.00–$18.50 depending on qualifications and experience. Applicants must be at least 18 years old.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Good customer service skills.
• Good oral communication skills.
• Great work ethic.
• Flexibility.
• Honesty.
• Ability to walk, squat, bend, push, pull, and lift more than 40 pounds consistently throughout the shift.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of beer, wine, and spirits is preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Stock shelves and build displays.
• Safely operate equipment such as hand trucks and U-boats.
• Assist with inventory and store moves.
• Sign off on purchase orders as deliveries arrive and ensure their accuracy.
• Place products in stores.
• Help keep the store clean.
• Know the store’s exclusive and focus items.
• Assist customers in locating products and provide basic wine-pairing guidance.
• Answer customer questions about wine shop products.
