About The Position

The Wine Merchandiser helps ensure the wine shop is checked in properly, shelves are stocked, displays are built, and customers receive help on the sales floor. The role answers questions about wine shop products and assists customers in locating products and with basic wine pairings.

This is an entry-level seasonal hourly position. Knowledge of beer, wine, and spirits is preferred but not required. The position requires frequent walking, squatting, bending, pushing, pulling, and lifting more than 40 pounds consistently throughout the shift.

Responsibilities

• Stock shelves.
• Safely operate equipment such as hand trucks and U-boats.
• Assist with inventory and store moves.
• Sign off on purchase orders as deliveries arrive and ensure accuracy.
• Place products in stores.
• Help keep the store clean.
• Know the store’s exclusive and focus items.
• Assist customers with locating products and with basic wine pairings.
• Answer customer questions about wine shop products.
• Build displays and help ensure the wine shop is properly checked in.
