About The Position
Southern Industries Home Improvement is seeking an experienced Window Installer for home renovation projects in Knoxville, Tennessee. The installer will help homeowners improve their homes’ appearance and durability while representing the company’s standards for quality, craftsmanship, and customer satisfaction. This is a subcontractor/1099 position with stated earning potential of $55,000 to $85,000 per year, depending on experience and project volume. The company provides materials and offers year-round work and production-team support. The role involves measuring, cutting, fitting, and installing materials according to manufacturer guidelines and company standards; communicating with homeowners; coordinating with production staff; and completing projects safely and on time. Candidates need relevant installation or home-improvement experience, a FEIN, and the ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, working at heights, and climbing ladders.
Requirements
- Proven experience installing windows, doors, roofs, gutters, or siding, or experience in the home-improvement industry; a minimum of 2 years is preferred.
- A FEIN (Federal Employer Identification Number) is required for the 1099 position; candidates without one may be suited to a W-2 position.
- Ability to lift up to 100 pounds, work at heights, climb ladders, and perform physical labor.
- Ability to work independently and solve problems on the jobsite.
