About The Position
VP Supply Corp is a distributor of plumbing, HVAC, and electrical supplies, with more than 350 employees and 15 locations across Western New York and Pennsylvania. The company has served residential customers, contractors, and municipalities for over 50 years. The Warehouse department is hiring a Will Call Associate for its Rochester branch. The role assists customers with will-call orders, supports accurate order fulfillment and inventory control, and helps keep the warehouse safe, clean, and organized. The position calls for 1–3 years of experience and a motivated, communicative team player who can work in a fast-paced environment. Standard hours are mainly scheduled, but schedule flexibility is needed to complete orders and duties by the end of each shift.
Requirements
- 1–3 years of experience packing and/or stocking products.
- 1–3 years of customer service experience.
- Ability to analyze and solve problems.
- Willingness and ability to operate material handling equipment.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to multitask and handle multiple issues at the same time without stress.
- Schedule flexibility to ensure daily warehouse duties are completed before the end of the shift.
- Reliable daily transportation to the branch location.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to lift 50–75 pounds.
Nice To Haves
- Forklift training is preferred but not required; internal training is provided to warehouse employees.
- Product knowledge in plumbing, HVAC, and electrical materials is highly desired.
Responsibilities
- Assist customers in fulfilling will-call orders.
- Provide excellent customer service and help resolve customer order issues.
- Inspect products, quantities, and delivery accuracy.
- Ensure accuracy of quantities pulled and stocked locations.
- Take corrective action as needed for back orders or missing products.
- Store products safely to prevent internal damage and locate them appropriately for order pulls, physical counts, and inventory control.
- Pull customer orders and verify that products match customer specifications.
- Maintain working knowledge of warehouse and inventory control policies and procedures.
- Enforce warehouse rules and keep the warehouse clean and organized.
