Pest Control Technician - Wildlife

About The Position

Stark Exterminators is hiring a full-time Wildlife Technician to provide residential and commercial customers with wildlife control services, including exclusion, trapping, and removal. Exclusion work may involve sealing, caulking, or installing sheet metal around soffits, gutter lines, roof ridges, vents, and voids. The work is often performed from rooftops or ladders and may require basic carpentry. The technician identifies, removes, prevents, or repairs damage caused by wildlife. They ask customers about the problem, inspect the property to find its source, determine and explain an appropriate solution, and complete the service. Afterward, they collect payments and propose additional beneficial services. Technicians independently run and schedule their services. The role includes a company vehicle and a benefits package.

Requirements

Ability to pass and maintain any state regulatory agency-required licensing or certification exams.
Ability to pass internal technical exams.
Current driver's license in the state where the employee works, ability to operate a motor vehicle, and a driving record consistent with company standards.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to work a minimum 40-hour workweek.
Willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

Ask customers about wildlife-related issues and inspect their homes to identify the source.
Determine and explain appropriate wildlife control solutions.
Perform exclusion, trapping, and wildlife removal services.
Seal, caulk, or install sheet metal around areas such as soffits, gutter lines, roof ridges, vents, and voids.
Identify, prevent, or repair damage caused by wildlife.
Collect payments due after completing services and propose additional services that may benefit customers.
Independently run and schedule services.
