About The Position

Stark Exterminators is hiring a full-time Wildlife Technician to provide service to residential and commercial wildlife control customers through wildlife exclusion, trapping, and removal. Exclusion work may involve sealing, caulking, or installing sheet metal around soffits, gutter lines, roof ridges, vents, and voids. The work is often performed from rooftops or ladders and may require basic carpentry. Technicians identify, remove, and prevent wildlife problems and repair wildlife damage. They ask customers about the issue, inspect the property to identify its source, determine and explain an appropriate solution, complete the service, collect payment, and propose additional services that may benefit the customer. Technicians work independently and are responsible for running and scheduling their own services. Requirements

Ability to pass and maintain state regulatory agency-required licensing or certification exams.
Ability to pass internal technical exams.
Current driver’s license in the state where the employee works, ability to operate a motor vehicle, and a driving record consistent with company standards.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to work a minimum 40-hour workweek.
Willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

Identify wildlife problems and inspect customers’ homes to locate their source.
Remove wildlife and prevent or repair damage caused by wildlife.
Perform wildlife exclusion, including sealing, caulking, and installing sheet metal around building features.
Trap or remove wildlife as needed.
Explain recommended solutions and next steps to customers.
Collect payment after service and propose additional services that may benefit customers.
Run and schedule assigned services independently.
