About The Position

As a member of the Wi-Fi software development team in Wireless Technologies & Ecosystems, you will design, develop, and optimize Wi-Fi networking subsystem software across Apple products, including iPhone, Mac, Apple Watch, and Apple TV. You will work across software stacks—including frameworks and APIs, UI, OS services, and drivers—and collaborate with hardware and software teams across Apple to maintain and productize features. You will own and execute the full software development cycle, from ideation and design through implementation and testing, and measure the success of the features you develop. The role involves making informed trade-offs among factors such as ease of use, performance, and efficiency. Wi-Fi software work supports wireless, high-speed, low-latency connectivity for experiences such as AR/VR.

  • Experience with UNIX systems and a deep understanding of operating system fundamentals.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, programming, and debugging skills.
  • Exposure to networking protocols such as TCP/IP and routing.
  • Exposure to AI/ML tools.
  • English language proficiency.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative environment, communicate clearly, and drive multiple projects across teams.
  • Attention to meaningful details that matter to customers.
  • Excellent collaboration skills.
  • Passion, curiosity, and an innovative approach to everyday problems.
  • Experience developing software using embedded SDKs, frameworks, or BSPs.
  • Experience with multi-layer software architecture on embedded platforms.
  • Experience in wireless connectivity software development.
  • Experience with C/C++ or Python.
  • Demonstrated experience with machine learning frameworks and applying ML techniques to real-world problems.
