About The Position

As a working student in Data Analytics at 1KOMMA5°, you will support the Controlling and Business Intelligence teams in building a central data architecture that ingests, transforms, and analyzes data from our global operational and financial business. You will help generate actionable insights for financial planning, performance tracking, and strategic decision-making processes across the company. Key tasks include building and maintaining end-to-end data pipelines to ensure the availability of operational and financial data, supporting the Controlling team with automated reports, forecast datasets, and KPI tracking, independently developing analyses, dashboards, and reports in Looker to monitor financial and operational performance, contributing to data integrity and reliability in financial datasets, assisting with the automation and optimization of reporting processes for budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, and investigating and utilizing AI-powered data analysis to improve forecasts, anomaly detection, and business insights.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a German university for at least two more semesters in Data Science, Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a comparable degree program with a data analytics focus.
• Ability to work 15-20 hours per week.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python.
• Familiarity with Git.
• First experience in handling large datasets (e.g., data ingestion, transformation, or data modeling).
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with team members and various stakeholders.
• Proactive work approach and enjoyment of working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Very good written and spoken German and English skills (C-Level).

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience with BI tools (e.g., Looker, Power BI, or Tableau).
• First experiences with AI or Machine Learning (e.g., predictive modeling, forecasting, or the use of AI libraries or tools).
• Interest in finance, controlling, or business performance analysis.

Responsibilities

• Aufbau und Pflege von End-to-End-Datenpipelines , um die Verfügbarkeit operativer und finanzieller Daten sicherzustellen
• Unterstützung des Controlling-Teams bei automatisierten Reports, Forecast-Datensätzen und KPI-Tracking
• Eigenständige Entwicklung von Analysen, Dashboards und Reports in Looker zur Überwachung der finanziellen und operativen Performance
• Beitrag zur Sicherstellung der Datenintegrität und -zuverlässigkeit in finanzbezogenen Datensätzen
• Unterstützung bei der Automatisierung und Optimierung von Reporting-Prozessen für Budgetierung, Forecasting und Abweichungsanalysen
• Untersuchung und Einsatz von KI-gestützter Datenanalyse , um Forecasts, Anomalieerkennung und Business Insights zu verbessern
