About The Position

The Wellness Representative works in collaboration with an assigned unit or department to ensure work is accomplished timely and effectively, and partners with colleagues outside the assigned area as needed for professional resources. The role helps maintain a safe, clean, and well-stocked facility while supporting members and guests with attendance recording, phone inquiries, and payments. This is an onsite, per diem position at Rex Wellness Center Raleigh, with rotating work schedule and 18 standard hours per week. The listed hiring range is $18.00–$24.66 per hour; pay offers are determined by experience and internal equity.

Requirements

• Six months to one year of related experience and/or training.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; write simple correspondence; and effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; compute rate, ratio, and percent; and draw and interpret bar graphs.
• Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions and deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an environment of safety for patients, self, and others.
• Answer telephone calls, take accurate messages, and route calls to the proper personnel.
• Ensure facility towels are washed and dried in a timely manner.
• Check locker rooms periodically, wipe down counters, pick up towels, and mop if necessary.
• Greet members and guests and record attendance on the computer.
• Receive payment for membership fees, child care, and purchased items using the Point of Sale terminal.
• Keep the area clean and completely stocked.
