About The Position

Palmetto Bluff is a 20,000-acre development in South Carolina’s Lowcountry, with a private members-only club and extensive recreational, wellness, and community amenities. The Wellness Instructor supports the club’s mission to enhance the member experience through wellness programming. The role performs daily tasks aligned with departmental goals, provides excellent customer service, and delivers personalized, professional instruction that contributes to members’ health, wellness, and fitness goals.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least two years of experience leading fitness classes.
• Ability to walk and give direction during most of the working day and to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to three hours at a time.
• Ability to bend, stoop, squat, and stretch to perform cleaning tasks.
• Ability to regularly and continuously lift up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• Private club experience.
• CPR/First Aid certification.

Responsibilities

• Ensure classes follow a safe, energetic, and structured format.
• Lead 2–4 classes per week in modalities such as strength, functional training, TRX, HIIT, Pilates, cycling, golf fitness, and flexibility training.
• Provide personalized attention to guests before, during, and after class.
• Assist with studio cleanliness and equipment maintenance, and monitor studio cleanliness and safety.
• Use an energetic, friendly, positive, and motivational teaching style.
• Build strong relationships with members through customer service.
• Conduct private or duet training sessions as needed.
• Be dedicated, reliable, and punctual.
