About The Position
The YMCA is seeking a certified Senior Wellness Instructor to lead group exercise classes that engage members and support healthier lives. The instructor adapts class style to the participants, creates a welcoming connection with members, and delivers safe, effective classes for people of all abilities in the gym. The role may involve travel to nearby branches and substituting for fellow instructors. It is part-time, hourly work in Warminster, Pennsylvania, paying $23.00–$25.00 per hour.
Requirements
- Hold one of the following: National Group Fitness certification, Silver Sneakers certification, Chair Yoga certification, Low Impact Aerobics certification, or a specialized nationally recognized Senior Fitness certification.
- Be a team player with a commanding, positive presence and a passion for connecting with members, supporting wellness, and building relationships.
- Be able to adapt class style to the members participating.
Responsibilities
- Find new and engaging ways to connect with members during class.
- Instruct effective, safe classes for participants of all abilities in the gym.
- Be willing and able to substitute for fellow instructors.
- Wear YMCA gear with pride and advocate for the YMCA.
