About The Position

The City of Warrensburg Parks & Recreation Department is hiring a part-time Aquacise/Water Aerobics Instructor. The instructor works independently at a skilled level under the general supervision of the Parks Recreation Supervisor. The role requires adapting instruction to patrons’ needs and abilities and leading classes with organization, energy, motivation, and enthusiasm. Applicants are subject to a background investigation.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Basic CPR/First Aid certification; the department provides an opportunity to obtain this certification.
• Experience with exercise and wellness.
• Ability to adapt to patrons’ needs and abilities.
• Highly organized, high-energy, self-motivated, and enthusiastic teaching approach.
• Subject to a background investigation.

Nice To Haves

• Certification in the specific class to be taught is highly desired.
