About The Position

The Wellness Coordinator meets residents’ social and therapeutic needs through activities, wellness interventions, leisure programming, and continued interaction with community groups. The position completes the wellness-assigned portion of the assessment process and provides relevant daily events and programming to meet residents’ needs.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver’s license appropriate for the type of vehicle assigned to operate.
Acceptable driving record that meets Benedictine requirements.
If leading the program, meet the applicable federal qualifications for directing an activities program: be a qualified therapeutic recreation specialist or activities professional with applicable state licensure or registration and eligibility for recognized certification; or have two years of experience in a social or recreational program within the last five years, including one full-time year in a patient activities program in a health care setting; or be a qualified occupational therapist or occupational therapy assistant; or have completed a state-approved training course.

Nice To Haves

Be in good standing on the State Nursing Assistant Registry.
BLS certification.
First Aid certification.
Experience in long-term care.
