About The Position

The Wellness Coordinator is responsible for meeting residents’ social and therapeutic needs through activities, wellness interventions, leisure programming, and continued interaction with community groups. The role completes the wellness-assigned portion of the assessment process and provides relevant daily events and programming to meet residents’ needs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license appropriate for the type of vehicle assigned to operate.
• Acceptable driving record that meets Benedictine requirements.
• If leading the program, meet the applicable federal qualifications under §483.15(f)(2): be a qualified therapeutic recreation specialist or activities professional who is licensed or registered, if applicable, in the state of practice and eligible for certification by a recognized accrediting body; have two years of experience in a social or recreational program within the last five years, including one year full-time in a patient activities program in a health care setting; be a qualified occupational therapist or occupational therapy assistant; or have completed a state-approved training course.

Nice To Haves

• Good standing on the State Nursing Assistant Registry.
• BLS certification.
• First Aid certification.
• Experience in long-term care.
