About The Position
One Vision is seeking a Wellness Center Coordinator to lead fitness, wellness, and recreational programming within our 55+ independent living community. This is an opportunity to create meaningful experiences, foster community, and promote whole-person wellness every day.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience coordinating wellness or fitness programs (senior living preferred)
- CPR/AED and First Aid certification required
- Lifeguard Certification required
- Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification preferred or ability to obtain within 90 days
- Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills
- Experience leading fitness or aquatic programs
- Ability to engage and motivate individuals of varying abilities
- Experience with program planning, budgeting, or community outreach is a plus
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs
- Assist residents safely in and out of the pool
- Comfortable working in and around water
- Ability to respond quickly and effectively in emergency situations
Nice To Haves
- Senior living experience preferred
- Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification preferred or ability to obtain within 90 days
- Experience with program planning, budgeting, or community outreach is a plus
Responsibilities
- Plan and lead engaging wellness activities, including fitness classes, health education, and recreational events
- Design programs that support physical, emotional, and social well-being
- Develop community outreach initiatives, including intergenerational programming
- Ensure pool safety and compliance with all health and safety regulations
- Supervise lifeguards and aquatic staff
- Coordinate water aerobics, therapy sessions, and open swim schedules
- Support residents in following wellness plans recommended by healthcare providers
- Provide resources and guidance to residents and families
- Create opportunities for social connection and active living
- Hire, train, and lead instructors, lifeguards, and support staff
- Partner with vendors, volunteers, and community organizations
- Track participation and feedback to continuously improve programming
