Wellness Associate - Part Time
About The Position
TerrAscend is hiring a part-time Wellness Associate for its Apothecarium dispensary in Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania. The role provides compassionate, friendly, and professional customer service to patients and caregivers, helping them select cannabis products and understand effects, potency, dosing, consumption methods, and administration. The position is on-site. The dispensary operates from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., seven days a week, and the role requires availability for nights, weekends, and some holidays. The Wellness Associate maintains patient records and product knowledge, follows state regulations and company procedures, completes mandated training, and helps provide a distinctive patient experience while protecting confidentiality and security. The work may involve standing, walking, bending, reaching, lifting, handling transactions, using point-of-sale systems, and organizing products. Items weighing up to 50 pounds may need to be moved, with or without reasonable accommodation. Extended time on one's feet and repetitive hand or arm movements may be required, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Requirements
- Meet the minimum age requirements established by the applicable Department of Health or State Regulatory Commission.
- At least one year of customer service, retail, or related experience is preferred.
- Be flexible regarding work schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to work well within a team environment.
- Ability to perform essential functions that may include standing, walking, bending, reaching, lifting, handling transactions, and organizing products, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- May need to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Visual ability to handle transactions accurately, verify product information, and maintain inventory.
- Manual dexterity to handle cash, operate point-of-sale systems, and organize products.
- Ability to remain on one's feet for extended periods and perform repetitive hand or arm movements, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities
- Assist patients and caregivers with cannabis recommendations and product selection, including information about effects, potency, dosing, consumption methods, and administration.
- Manage patient records through company systems.
- Maintain thorough product knowledge and promptly and efficiently address concerns and questions, referring matters to a dispensary healthcare practitioner or management when appropriate.
- Maintain knowledge of state regulatory requirements and guidelines.
- Deliver excellent customer service and a distinctive patient experience, including appropriate interpersonal habits such as greeting patients, eye contact, and courtesy.
- Ensure patient confidentiality and security.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients and caregivers by anticipating their needs.
- Follow established policies and procedures for customer service, staff management, patient and visitor management, inventory management, cash handling, state compliance, and safety and security.
- Complete the required state-mandated training program.
- Perform other tasks assigned by management.
