About The Position
The Wellness Assistant helps enhance residents’ quality of life by supporting social, spiritual, therapeutic, and other wellness activities and programs within the community. The role assists with developing wellness programming, facilitates daily events, collects information to support resident assessments, and helps implement care plans based on residents’ needs.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Experience in long-term care is preferred.
- BLS certification is preferred.
- First Aid certification is preferred.
- If leading the program, meet the applicable federal qualifications for directing an activities program, including one of the specified professional credentials, experience pathways, occupational therapy qualifications, or a state-approved training course.

Responsibilities
- Assist in developing the community’s wellness programming.
