About The Position

Sun Tan City is hiring a part-time Wellness and Tanning Sales Consultant to provide customer service and recommendations in a fast-paced salon environment. The role involves building relationships with clients, understanding their needs, recommending products and services, and meeting minimum sales requirements. Consultants also assist with salon cleaning and work collaboratively while following company policies and procedures. No experience is required; training is provided. Compensation starts at $15.92 per hour, with potential performance bonuses and opportunities for performance-based raises.

Requirements

Basic computer skills and knowledge.
Ability to provide professional customer service and build relationships with clients.
Ability to make product and service recommendations and meet minimum sales requirements.
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced salon environment.
Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
Ability to bend at the waist to clean tanning equipment and bend down to pick up items from the floor.
Ability to lift or assist in lifting items and heavy boxes.
Ability to perform cleaning tasks such as dusting, sweeping, mopping, and scrubbing.

Responsibilities

Provide professional customer service and ensure clients’ needs are met.
Engage with clients, build relationships, and understand and meet their needs.
Recommend products and services to clients.
Maintain minimum sales requirements.
Multi-task, including cleaning tanning beds as clients leave and engaging new clients as they arrive.
Help maintain cleanliness in tanning rooms, the lobby, restrooms, laundry, and storage areas.
Work cohesively with a team in an upbeat, fast-paced salon environment while following company policies and procedures.
Educate clients about tanning and wellness options.
