About The Position
U-Haul is hiring a Welding Robot Operator to help build truck and trailer parts using robotic welding technology. The position involves programming, setting up, and operating robotic welding machines, particularly ABB robots, and may require hand MIG welding. The job is located at 6112 N 56th Ave, Glendale, Arizona 85301. The listed shift is 8:30 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must not require employer sponsorship. The role requires travel for machine-specific training. U-Haul states that it does not hire or re-hire nicotine-product users in Arizona and other listed states. Requirements
- Proven experience as a robot welder, including hands-on programming capabilities.
- Experience with robotic welding systems.
- Strong understanding of welding processes, robotic programming, and fabrication techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
- Ability to travel for machine-specific training.
Responsibilities
- Program, set up, and operate robotic welding machines, specifically ABB robots.
- Develop and optimize welding programs and parameters to maximize efficiency and product quality.
- Perform regular maintenance and troubleshoot robotic welding systems.
- Collaborate with engineering and fabrication teams to plan, execute, and refine welding projects.
- Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
- Perform hand MIG welding as needed.
