About The Position

Longspan Mfg. Corp. is seeking a dependable and experienced Welder to join our production team. The ideal candidate will have welding experience, the ability to read and interpret blueprints, and a strong understanding of measuring accurately using a tape measure. This position requires excellent attendance, a willingness to start work at 5:00 AM, and the flexibility to work overtime when production demands require it. The successful candidate will be safety-conscious, detail-oriented, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.

Requirements

Welding experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings.
Proficiency in using a tape measure and other measuring tools.
Strong attention to detail and quality.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Dependability and strong work ethic.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.
Ability to produce quality welds that meet company standards.
Ability to accurately interpret dimensions and specifications from prints.
Ability to set up and maintain welding equipment safely and effectively.
Ability to identify and correct weld defects when necessary.
Ability to consistently meet production deadlines while maintaining quality.
Ability to work early morning shifts and overtime as required.
Ability to lift materials and perform physical work in a manufacturing environment.
Reliable attendance record.

Nice To Haves

Previous welding experience preferred.
Welding certification is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Perform welding operations according to company quality standards and specifications.
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and production prints.
Accurately measure materials using a tape measure and other measuring tools.
Set up, operate, and maintain welding equipment.
Inspect completed welds to ensure quality and compliance with specifications.
Follow all workplace safety procedures and guidelines.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Work collaboratively with supervisors and team members to meet production goals.
Report equipment issues or production concerns promptly.
Work overtime as needed to support customer and production requirements.
