About The Position

Longspan Mfg. Corp. is seeking a dependable and experienced Welder to join our production team. The ideal candidate will have welding experience, the ability to read and interpret blueprints, and a strong understanding of measuring accurately using a tape measure. This position requires excellent attendance, a willingness to start work at 5:00 AM, and the flexibility to work overtime when production demands require it. The successful candidate will be safety-conscious, detail-oriented, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.

Requirements

  • Welding experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings.
  • Proficiency in using a tape measure and other measuring tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Dependability and strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Ability to produce quality welds that meet company standards.
  • Ability to accurately interpret dimensions and specifications from prints.
  • Ability to set up and maintain welding equipment safely and effectively.
  • Ability to identify and correct weld defects when necessary.
  • Ability to consistently meet production deadlines while maintaining quality.
  • Ability to work early morning shifts and overtime as required.
  • Ability to lift materials and perform physical work in a manufacturing environment.
  • Reliable attendance record.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous welding experience preferred.
  • Welding certification is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform welding operations according to company quality standards and specifications.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and production prints.
  • Accurately measure materials using a tape measure and other measuring tools.
  • Set up, operate, and maintain welding equipment.
  • Inspect completed welds to ensure quality and compliance with specifications.
  • Follow all workplace safety procedures and guidelines.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Work collaboratively with supervisors and team members to meet production goals.
  • Report equipment issues or production concerns promptly.
  • Work overtime as needed to support customer and production requirements.
