About The Position

The Entry Utility/Production Associate works at International Paper’s Tampa Box Plant, safely operating machines and supporting production activities. The role involves producing and stacking finished product, following factory work orders and product specifications, maintaining production and quality standards, and coordinating with other crew members to set up and run orders. Associates monitor production, conduct and document quality inspections, keep the work area clean during the shift, and perform other duties as assigned by supervision. The position is listed as 1st shift and pays $22.66 per hour plus shift differential.

Requirements

Hands-on manufacturing or production work experience.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
Ability to identify quality defects and monitor production quality.
Ability to accurately read a tape measure and use basic shop math.
Ability to accurately perform tasks after they are explained and demonstrated.
Ability to learn and follow instructions, ask questions, and work effectively as a team member.
Punctuality, a good work ethic, and a positive attitude.

Nice To Haves

Corrugated industry experience.
Machine operation experience.

Responsibilities

Safely run machines and follow all safety rules and practices.
Count and stack finished product.
Read factory work orders, print cards, and design specifications to learn customer requirements.
Use basic shop math and accurately read tape measures, gauges, and other test equipment.
Coordinate with crew members to efficiently set up and run orders.
Maintain company quality and production standards.
Continuously monitor production quality and quantity.
Maintain housekeeping throughout the assigned shift.
Perform quality inspections and tests, and record findings.
Perform other duties as assigned by supervision.
