About The Position
Central Stone is seeking a full-time Welder/Fabricator to join their team at their Fabrication Shop in Hannibal, MO. The company has over 125 years of experience providing limestone aggregate products used in the construction of homes, roads, and bridges throughout the Midwest. This role is crucial for fabricating steel components that form the foundation of everyday infrastructure.
Requirements
- Safety-Focused
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Ability to perform rigorous physical activities in all weather conditions
- Self-motivated with a solid work ethic
- Minimum of 2 years’ welding experience
Nice To Haves
- Two years of verifiable experience in blueprint reading, welding, cutting, fabrication and painting of structural steel
- Good working knowledge of shears, punches & other metal forming equipment and plasma cutting tables
Responsibilities
- Following all safety and environmental rules, regulations and procedures as set forth by company policies and OSHA
- Operating and monitoring all equipment and production area safely and efficiently
- Fabricating steel from pieces using various cutting equipment and welding parts together per specifications
- Media blasting and painting the fabricated steel pieces as needed
- Communicating with shop management and team on all safety, maintenance, and production needs
- Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor
