About The Position

ALL Crane & Equipment Rental Corp. in Nitro, West Virginia, is seeking a metal Welder & Fabricator. This is a full-time, non-exempt position in a shop environment. The role involves laying out and preparing components from blueprints and measurements, welding components using SMAW processes, operating welding-related tools and forklifts, and maintaining safety and regulatory standards. Forklift training will be included.

Requirements

• Qualified under Section 4 of the American Welding Society D1.1 Structural Steel Code or an equivalent code for overhead (4G) and vertical (3G) or all positions, SMAW.
• Strong initiative and ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision.
• Ability to work safely around moving machinery.
• Ability to work in conditions with marked changes in temperature and humidity.
• Ability to withstand exposure to dust, fumes, and gases.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and drawings and take or read measurements for layout.
• Set up components to be welded according to requirements.
• Operate grinders, torches, plasma cutters, shears, and other welding-related tools.
• Read a tape measure.
• Weld components using SMAW processes.
• Maintain conformity to safety requirements and other regulations.
• Operate telescopic and regular forklifts; training will be included.
