About The Position

Hazelett is hiring a Fabricator/Welder to fit and weld structural metals used in the production of strip-casting machines. The role involves custom welding projects, using engineering blueprints, cutting metals, and maintaining dimensional tolerances. Welding processes include MIG and/or TIG, with relevant experience also required in Stick welding. The position is on first shift, with a choice of a four-day, 10-hour schedule or a five-day, 8-hour schedule. Coverage hours are 6:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday or Tuesday through Friday. Requirements

Technical welding education or equivalent training.
Experience in manufacturing and welding structural metals using MIG, TIG, and/or Stick processes.
Knowledge of steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
Knowledge of print interpretation, GD&T, and shop math.
Knowledge of plasma/burning tables.
Knowledge of overhead cranes and rigging.
Ability to identify, measure, and cut materials to specifications.

Responsibilities

Fit and weld structural metals for the production of strip-casting machines.
Use MIG and/or TIG welding processes.
Work on a range of custom welding projects.
Interpret engineering blueprints.
Cut metals and maintain dimensional tolerances.
