About The Position

Champion Home Builders, Inc. is hiring a Production Work-Mig Welder/Fabricator to work on the production line in the Leesville, Louisiana region. Under general supervision, this employee works as part of a team to build manufactured housing and perform quality work at a fast-moving, consistent pace. The position is non-exempt. The role involves manual production labor, keeping the work area neat and clean, measuring and interpreting blueprints and orders, communicating with coworkers, and using welding and fabrication tools. The employee must follow safety procedures and meet the physical demands of the job, with reasonable accommodations available for individuals with disabilities.

Requirements

Mig welding experience is required.
Fabrication/design skills or experience are required.
Strong work ethic.
Ability to work quickly and methodically.
Understanding of safety procedures.
Good teamwork skills.
Ability to meet the physical demands described, including frequent lifting or moving of up to 50 pounds and occasional lifting or moving of more than 100 pounds, with reasonable accommodations as applicable.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in manufacturing or modular housing is preferred but not required.
Metal preparation and painting experience is recommended but not required.

Responsibilities

Perform manual labor in the assigned production area.
