About The Position

DeWys is seeking motivated Welders to join its team and develop their MIG, TIG, and robotic welding skills. This second-shift role includes a shift premium. The position involves producing parts to customer specifications, setting up and operating welding and grinding equipment, and participating in the DeWys University training program with the goal of advancing to level 3 proficiency.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous welding experience or training.
Good working knowledge of metals, welding robots, and welding and grinding equipment.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work instructions.
Willingness to work overtime as necessary.
Willingness to learn fabrication methods outside of welding as business needs require.

Nice To Haves

Certified Welding Technician.

Responsibilities

Participate in the DeWys University training program and advance to level 3 proficiency.
Follow DeWys Standard Work.
Read manufacturing blueprints carefully to produce products and parts to specification.
Set up welding equipment for MIG welding on a variety of products and parts.
Lay out, position, align, and fit metal components for welding according to customer specifications.
Read customer work instructions.
Operate grinders to finish-grind and spot-grind parts.
Perform maintenance on welding and grinding machines.
