Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a welding certification program preferred.
- Previous experience in welding and metal fabrication required.
- Ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools such as tape measures, calipers, and squares.
- Strong knowledge of welding techniques, metallurgy, and fabrication processes.
- Ability to lift up to 50+ lbs and stand for extended periods in a physically demanding environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including overtime as needed.
Nice To Haves
- Completion of a welding certification program preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform MIG, TIG, and/or Stick welding on steel, stainless steel, and aluminum components according to specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and work orders to accurately fabricate parts and assemblies.
- Operate fabrication equipment such as press brakes, shears, saws, grinders, and plasma cutters.
- Measure, cut, and assemble metal components to precise tolerances.
- Inspect completed welds and fabricated components to ensure quality and structural integrity.
- Maintain welding equipment and tools to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Follow all workplace safety protocols, including proper use of PPE and adherence to OSHA standards.
- Collaborate with team members, engineers, and supervisors to meet production deadlines and quality expectations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Promptly report any equipment malfunctions, material defects, or safety concerns to supervisors.
