About The Position

Viant is hiring a Weld Operator to operate manual laser, auto laser, and TIG welding equipment in a medical device manufacturing environment. The role also manages the Kan Ban system and 5S initiatives. The work environment is described as clean, quiet, comfortable, and climate controlled during the summer months. Work conditions may involve arc flash and limited noise. The position requires light physical work, including exerting up to 30 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds frequently, and lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or moving objects. Welders must have vision acuity of 20/30 or better in either eye and be able to read a Jaeger No. 2 Eye Chart; vision testing is required before employment and every two years thereafter.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in welding techniques, especially TIG welding.
• Vision acuity of 20/30 or better in either eye and ability to read the Jaeger No. 2 Eye Chart; pre-employment and biennial testing is required.
• Ability to perform light work, including exerting up to 30 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds frequently, and lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or moving objects.

Responsibilities
