Weekend Supervisor (LPN, RN)
About The Position
The Weekend Supervisor (LPN or RN) assists the Director of Nursing (DON) and Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) in overseeing weekend operations of the Nursing Department to maintain the highest degree of quality care. The position works every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday in twelve-hour shifts, with shift hours set at the discretion of the Director of Health Services. Compensation is based on the applicable license or certification and the candidate’s years of experience. Weekend hours worked are eligible for an additional $7.00 per hour incentive. Hours picked up Monday through Thursday do not receive the weekend incentive, and weekend supervisors are not eligible for additional shift or weekend differentials on top of that incentive. Requirements
- Maintain a current, valid state LPN or RN license.
- Have current, valid CPR certification.
Responsibilities
- Assist the ADON and DON in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and directing the nursing service department and its programs and activities in accordance with applicable rules, regulations, and guidelines.
- Supervise, oversee, and assist with resident care according to each resident’s assessed status and established plan of care.
- Provide direct nursing care as needed in accordance with resident assessments, physician orders, and plans of care; assess residents’ responses to treatments and medications.
- Assist with scanning and attaching resident documentation in MatrixCare to keep medical records complete and accurate.
- Welcome potential customers and help maintain positive first impressions.
- Participate in survey and mock-survey campus preparedness.
- Ensure the campus is tour-ready, including backup team resources, the tour path, model room, first impressions, and tour stations; conduct tours as needed.
- Provide patient care as necessary.
