About The Position

Directed is seeking an independent contractor to place and pick up temporary weekend signs in the Brightmans Farm community in the Newberry, South Carolina area. Contractors install signs between Friday at 5:00 PM and Saturday at 10:00 AM, and pick up the same signs between Sunday at 6:00 PM and Monday at 8:00 AM. Work can be completed at any time within those windows, provided all signs are placed and removed by the stated deadlines.

The signs are lightweight corrugated plastic installed on wooden stakes. Artisan Direct provides the signs, stakes, and replacement inventory as needed. Contractors use Directed’s mobile application to report sign installation and pickup at specific locations, store signs and extra stakes safely during the week, and submit a weekly invoice and order replacement inventory through the company website after pickup.

This is a 1099 independent contractor position, not employment with Directed. Contractors are responsible for their own fuel, expenses, taxes, insurance, vehicle, and mobile device. They determine their own driving order and may accept or decline routes, but must complete any route they commit to. No benefits, minimum hours, or employment guarantees are offered. Starting compensation is $82.50 per weekend, paid by direct deposit every two weeks. The role also offers a $20 signing bonus and a $100 bonus after four weeks of completed work. The work is recurring each weekend and may suit people seeking flexible supplemental income.

Requirements

• Have a valid driver’s license and current auto insurance.
• Be at least 18 years old.
• Have a reliable vehicle with enough space to transport 30 or more signs.
• Have an Android or iPhone smartphone, roughly four years old or newer, capable of running the company’s mobile app.
• Be able to lift 50 pounds and work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Be able to hammer stakes 6–8 inches into the ground during the first weekend only.
• Be dependable and able to complete routes within the required time windows each weekend.
• Provide and pay for your own vehicle, mobile device, fuel, expenses, taxes, and insurance.
