Weekend Sign Installer
About The Position
Weekend Directional Service is seeking reliable independent contractors to place and pick up temporary directional signs on local routes. The work is independent and can typically be completed in a few hours each weekend. Routes generally include 30–60 signs and take about 45 minutes to 1.5 hours once familiar with the area. Contractors follow provided Google Maps routes and/or placement lists, may complete routes in any order within the specified time windows, store signs safely between weekends, and use their own vehicle. The role offers flexible supplemental income, with opportunities to take on additional routes. Contractors are responsible for their own fuel, expenses, taxes, and insurance; there are no benefits or guaranteed hours. Contractors may accept or decline routes but must complete any route they commit to.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license.
- Current auto insurance.
- Reliable vehicle with space for 30–60 signs.
- Smartphone (iPhone or Android, approximately four years old or newer).
- Ability to lift and place signs outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Ability to hammer stakes 6–8 inches into the ground as needed.
- Dependability to complete routes within required time windows.
Responsibilities
- Place signs between Friday 5:00 PM and Saturday 10:00 AM.
- Pick up signs between Sunday 6:00 PM and Monday 8:00 AM.
- Follow provided Google Maps routes and/or placement lists.
- Complete routes in any order within the allowed time windows.
- Store signs safely between weekends.
- Use a personal vehicle to complete local routes.
- Complete any route accepted.
